Rhiannon Thackeray

Rhiannon Thackeray played viola in regional orchestras for eleven years, usually as the only Black woman in the string section, before she put down the bow to write. She writes interracial orchestra romance with Black heroines and Asian heroes: auditions, rivalries, conductors who hear every mistake, desire built out of competence, and a happy ending every time. She lives in Birmingham and still cannot sit through a concert without counting the rests.
