For three seasons, Edinburgh Kestrels massage therapist Eilidh Rintoul has worked the knots out of veteran enforcer Lachie Gilmour's back and kept the coach's road-trip rule: staff and players don't fraternise away from home, and when they do, it's the staff member who gets sacked.
Then Lachie takes the penalty that costs them the playoffs, fighting to protect a rookie, and a blizzard shuts the road south, stranding the team in a half-shut Highland hotel.
