Cairn Ridge

Cairn Ridge sits at eight thousand feet in the Colorado Rockies — glass and timber, snow-glare, one road up through switchbacks that closes without warning. It is a placement academy and clinic, and it runs on paperwork: designations registered, assessment cycles scored, futures decided by a panel working from drop-down menus and a free-text box nobody fills in. The academy is not the villain. It is competent, sincere, and absolutely certain its arithmetic is a kindness. The books are about the people the arithmetic gets wrong.

These are omegaverse romances with the rivalry left out. The alphas like each other. Nobody is chosen over anyone. Nobody is sent home. What happens instead is better: a household assembled by accident inside a scored week, a bed dragged off the wall and rebuilt the way the people in it actually fit, three pairs of hands and no jealousy plot in sight. Found family is not a theme here — it is the product.

The cold is real and so is the warm. Every story runs on the same contrast as the mountain: black air and snow-glare outside the window, lamplight and a pile of bodies inside it. Low angst, high competence, and institutions that can be appealed — with the right form, filed before eight o'clock.

Cairn Ridge is a series of standalone why-choose novellas, each one complete: a female omega, the alphas who rearrange themselves around her, explicit open-door heat that keeps the lamp on, and a hard-won HEA where the whole household makes it to the last page. Read them in any order. Start with The Bed She Built Wrong.
