The House of Asphodel is a series of standalone Greek mythology romances. In every book a woman finds the stair that leads down to the Underworld and takes it on purpose, and one of its dark lords (Hades, Thanatos, Hypnos, Charon) discovers that he would give her every key in his house. The way back up is always open. The question is whether she will take it.
