Hanbit
Behind every bright light in Seoul, someone is falling in love where the cameras can't see.
Hanbit Entertainment is a mid-sized Seoul agency in a converted shoe factory in Seongsu-dong, two streets from Seoul Forest. It is not one of the giants and does not want to be. It is known for treating its artists decently, for good choreography and for a CEO who answers her own phone. Its flagship is Lodestar, a six-member boy group eight years past debut: big overseas, beloved at home, and grown men now. Around them work the stylists, choreographers, managers, writers and artists who make the whole thing run.
Hanbit is a series of standalone K-drama romances about the people behind the scenes and the famous men who fall for them in secret. Nobody's contract forbids it. The fans and the cameras do. Every book is a slow burn told from both sides: a comeback or a shoot on the clock, a first kiss in the one stairwell with no camera, and one photograph that could cost somebody everything.
Swoony, warm and grown-up, with Seoul at night written as it really is. Most readers begin with The Borrowed Pencil.
Each book is a complete interconnected standalone with a different couple, a guaranteed HEA. Read in any order.
